Virtual Bank Account — Eligibility & Document Requirements

Partner reference for VBA eligibility by account type, supported currencies, and required KYC documents — without provider-specific details.

Use this page to confirm whether an account is eligible for a Virtual Bank Account (VBA), which currencies may be available, and which documents are typically required before a VBA application can move from INCOMPLETE to PENDING.

Veem determines VBA eligibility and routing based on account type, country, requested currencies, and related compliance checks. Partners do not select a banking partner; requirements below are expressed by account type so you can prepare the correct documents up front.

For application lifecycle and webhooks, see Virtual Bank Account. An application stays INCOMPLETE until form/terms, required documents, and beneficial ownership (when applicable) are complete. PENDING means those requirements are satisfied and the application has entered review.

Eligibility

Country, address, compliance status, and requested currencies can further restrict whether VBA is available for a given account. If an account is not eligible, the API returns an eligibility or validation error rather than opening an application.

Supported currencies

Depending on account eligibility, VBA may be available in one or more of the following currencies (ISO 4217):

CurrencyCode
US DollarUSD
EuroEUR
Canadian DollarCAD
British PoundGBP
Not every eligible account can open every currency. Request only currencies that apply to the account’s eligibility; unsupported combinations are rejected.
